Will the IBPC 2020 take place despite the ongoing corona pandemic?
The IBPC will also take place in 2020. Due to the current situation the IBPC will be held as a hybrid event (see below). To ensure your safety, there will be a concept of hygiene.

The IBPC will take place as a hybrid event on site and online
The number of participants on site is significantly reduced compared to last year. We are adhering to the official regulations. In addition to the speakers, the chairs, the organisation team and the technical staff, a few places can be offered on site for interested parties. The hygiene concept applies to all persons attending the IBPC in Braunschweig.
The lectures will be transmitted via livestream. During the discussion phase, questions can be asked or the right to speak can be requested via the chat.
The poster sessions take place exclusively online. A separate virtual room will be set up for each poster, in which the poster will be exhibited and can be discussed. Furthermore, we provide various virtual rooms where you can exchange ideas with other conference topics. We recommend that participants attending the conference on site bring their laptop and a headset. Tickets for online participation at the conference are 100 € reduced compared to tickets for attendance at site.
What safety measures are taken on site to prevent corona infections?
To avoid corona spreading during the IBPC, fixed seats will be allocated to the participants, during coffee breaks the guests will be asked to stay at their seats and to leave their seats only for toilet use. The conference rooms are regularly aerated. In addition, the legal requirements apply that masks must be worn if the safety distance is less than 1.5 m. Disinfectants are always provided to the participants. All other official requirements that are issued until the start of the IBPC will be implemented
Can adjustments to the current regulations be expected?
We do not consider ourselves qualified to make well-founded statements about the development of the pandemic or how the authorities are dealing with it. We will adapt our concept to current regulations and keep up to date with the latest developments regarding IBPC.
